Sonicare For Babies
After writing a few articles on children’s oral hygiene recently we thought it would be good to look specific electric toothbrushes for babies. The first one we are going to check out is the Sonicare for babies. It is aimed at children as young as four and up to pre-teens.
About Sonicare Babies
The first thing we noticed about this sonic toothbrush for babies is that the base is solid and chunky. This is perfect for little hands to grip.
The colors are eye catching, and uses bold, bright colors very effectively. Babies like customizing their stuff and Sonicare have taken that into account. Each one comes with a selection of stickers, so they can pick their design. The nice thing about this is that the stickers maintain their stickiness which means that they can constantly change the designs.
There are a couple of lovely practical touches to the toothbrush as well. Firstly, the base has been designed not to follow over when you put it down in the upright position. Secondly it will not roll all over the place when it is lying down thus allowing your children the ability to add the toothpaste onto the bristles all by themselves. The charge on this brush lasts for ages, just like the adult models.
Another exclusive feature that this toothbrush has compared to the adult version is the brush modes designed especially for children. That’s the two brush functions. There is a gentle version for little children that builds their confidence and encourage them to brush. This has a shorter timer than the recommended two minutes for adults and the speed setting is low.
The second brush mode is for babies once they are more comfortable brushing. This mode is more powerful and has an extended timer. The timer also beeps at different intervals to let your child know when to clean the next section of their teeth. If your child has braces then this toothbrush is ideal. Cleaning does not hurt their mouth. It is still efficient and enters between the braces and their teeth.
It looks as though Philips have put a lot of thought and research into their electric toothbrush and it has really paid off. I can tell that both adults and children will appreciate it.
They may look cute but don’t let them into your mouth!
